8. How is the Club organised?


Committee

The club is run by its committee which is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. The committee meets roughly every 6 weeks throughout the year. The Committee is made up of the following officers:

  • Chair*
  • Club Secretary*
  • Treasurer*
  • Membership Secretary*
  • Fixtures Secretary*
  • Chair of Academy*
  • Club Development Officer
  • Chair of Men's Selection
  • Chair of Women's Selection
  • Coaching Team Lead
  • Safeguarding Officers
  • Events Co-ordinator
  • Umpiring Co-ordinator

* This role also sits on the Executive Committee.

It's never too early for a new member to offer to help with the running of the club. There's no sense that a new member needs to be in the club for a few years before they can be on the Committee - the club actively welcomes new perspectives on things.

Annual General Meeting

The AGM is held once a year and is normally held at Keynsham Cricket Club. The meeting comprises:

  • Reports from the club’s Chair and Treasurer
  • Reports from each of the team’s captains
  • Election of all Committee members and other officers
  • Election of all team captains and vice-captains
  • Proposals from the Committee or other members

All members are entitled to attend and vote at the AGM.
