Keynsham Hockey Club is celebrating after successfully securing a grant of £1,100 from Keynsham Town Council. This much-needed funding will be dedicated to purchasing a brand-new goalkeeping kit for the club's Ladies 3 team.
The grant application was submitted to the Keynsham Town Council earlier this year, highlighting the urgent need for an upgraded goalkeeping kit. The existing equipment was showing signs of wear and tear, posing potential safety concerns. Keynsham Town Council recognised the importance of supporting local sports clubs and has responded with their generous contribution.
The grant of £1,100 will now enable the Keynsham Hockey Club to acquire a top-quality kit that meets the necessary standards of safety and performance. The new goalkeeping kit will not only enhance the our goalkeepers' confidence and motivation but also contribute to the team's overall success on the field.
Chair of Academy and Club Treasurer, Richard May, expressed his gratitude to the Keynsham Town Council, stating, "We are delighted to have received this grant from Keynsham Town Council. Their support will go a long way in providing our Ladies 3 team with the equipment they need to stay safe and enjoy in their matches. We sincerely appreciate the Council's commitment to sport development in our community."
