ClubMark accreditation reawarded

ClubMark accreditation reawarded

Richard May27 Mar - 22:02

Keynsham Hockey Club has been reawarded England Hockey ClubMark accredition after working towards this for the past two years.

Keynsham is one of a select number of hockey clubs to achieve ClubMark accreditation
- Rich Beer, EH Chief Executive

The Committee has been busy updating and submitting all the required documentation during this season to prove that the Club meets all the required standards. This built on the Club's new Development Plan which was written during the previous season and which was a key element of the Club achieving England Hockey's Emerging Club of the Year Award.

England Hockey Chief Executive, Rich Beer, said: "It is my great pleasure to inform you that you are one of a select number of hockey clubs across England to achieve England Hockey ClubMark accreditation."

He added: "As we stride towards Creating A Future for Our Game Together, we wanted to
acknowledge and thank you for your commitment and dedication. Congratulations once again on achieving England Hockey ClubMark, and best of luck to all your club members for the future."

England Hockey ClubMark is designed to set a minimum operating standard for clubs to achieve and ensure that the appropriate risk assessments, policies and procedures are in place. We were always confident that Keynsham was already exceeding the necessary standards, but it still required a huge effort to demonstrate this with the necessary documents - many of which needed to be updated and some of which were created afresh for this process.

Keynsham is one of only 6 clubs in the wider local area which have ClubMark accreditation. Other clubs are Bristol Firebrands, Redland, Team Bath Buccaneers, and Wotton-under-Edge and Yate.

The Club first achieved ClubMark accreditation in 2020. Members and parents can now be assured that the Club is a well run club and that these levels are still being systematically met.
