We are organising a taster session for local primary schools in association with B&NES School Sports Partnership. We have approximately 100 children coming, all from years 3 or 4. The aim is to introduce these children to hockey, hoping that some of them will then want to keep playing and join the Keynsham Hockey Club's Academy.
This session follows on from several smaller but very successful taster sessions we have run for local cubs and brownie groups over the past few years. Assuming this session goes well, we will look to organise similar sessions on a regular basis.
Parents and children
If your children is unable to attend the taster session, they are welcome to come along to a regular Academy training session. For more information, please see the Academy pages on this website.
Club members
We do need some adult and academy volunteers to run this. The session will run from 4.00pm to 5.30pm. This is because it’s a school event so has to occur immediately after school. We understand that this timing may make it more difficult for some people to be there. If you can help, please contact Richard May, our Chair of Academy.
