Keynsham Hockey Club hosted its annual Memorial Tournament on the 15th September 2019 in aid of The British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.

The day was a huge success with glorious weather and the fun that was had all round. A total of £402.80 was raised for Cancer Research and The British Heart Foundation.

The mixed hockey tournament saw teams take part in a 7-a-side round robin tournament with team "Tim & co." lead by Tim Sears taking the victory. Well done to them!

Alien hockey were also in attendance, showcasing their range of sticks and letting our members play with them. Many thanks for them for coming along and joining in with the fun and games.

At half- time our "hockey tots" grabbed their sticks to have a play on the pitch whilst the adults had a penalty flick shoot-out competition. Well done to Ed Bartlett and Jack Tweedie who were joint winners.

Thank you to everybody who came along to support and play. Special thanks to Will Harris & Daniel Sawyer for grilling some fab food on the BBQ, Jessica Naylor & Tom Holloway for running the penalty shootout competition, Katherine Sears & Richard May for umpiring, Amanda Haskins & Heather Pillinger for running registration, sweet stall and raffle, and Andy Tymkow for the sound system and collecting the BBQ!

A very special thank you goes to Louisa Pillinger for all her hard work in organising such a fab event.

We hope to see you all again next year!
